Job Description
North Shore Swim Club is searching for one full-time assistant coach/ assistant event director, or 1 part time assistant coach and 1 part time assistant event director. Coaching duties will be responsible for weekday practices and attending all scheduled competitions and events on weekends. Assistant Event director's duties are on Friday evenings and weekends. NSSC attends approximately 2 swim meets per month.
Assistant Coach: Responsibilities for the day-to-day coaching and management of our 12 and under athletes and will report to the assigned head coach.
Assistant Event Director: During meets/ events: Responsibilities include, hospitality, timing system set up, coaching, tear down and facility relations.
The ideal candidate will understand the commitment to time at the pool and the responsibility of being a consistent leader for young athletes.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of swim coaching experience and aquatic event planning.
- Basic knowledge of HYTEK, timing systems, and swim software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Experience with and knowledge of instructing, managing, and coaching children.
- Current USA Swimming certifications and credentials required by the position.
- College degree preferred.
Benefits: Pay is commensurate with experience.
