She gets a bad rep because people don't try hard enough in her class and/or are poor at math. Her accent is very weak and recognizable.

Professor Clote is one of the most fair mathematics professors I have ever had. She does a pretty good job explaining things and the homework is heavy but after having done it all I actually think I know what she taught all year. Not sure why the other reviewers were whining so much.

Worst Calculus teacher I have had so far. She lectures on Calculus rather than allow students to go through problems and solve it for themselves. Everything is theory, nothing is very practical. Only rarely does she do specific problems on the board. The strong French accent does not help any of this. She should not be allowed to teach at Boston College.

Pros: None. Take a different calculus teacher.
Cons: Language barrier is terrible. Known as the hardest Calc I teacher, not because the material is harder, but rather because the tests are poorly composed and graded. No curves. Take a different teacher.
I took Calc II in high school and excelled on the IB HL Calculus test, but her tests are just so poorly written that even that can't help.
